Dunhill Links Championship: Final day and a goodbye from the stars

So its the end of the Dunhill Links Championship for another year. Despite the field of professionals being slightly weaker than previous years, it was a great event for the spectators, with probably the best weather ever witnessed for the spectators.

However the calm, benign conditions meant the courses were laid bare to the accurate hitting of the Professionals. ask the genie The winner, David Howell who posted a final score of -23 after regulation play together with Peter Uihlein, showed slightly composure in the play-off to secure the trophy and not insignificant 1st prize cheque.

WagsTours were out and about on the final day, and it was nice to bump into Andy Garcia and his family leaving the Old course Hotel, as they prepared to jet out of St Andrews. Andy was happy to pose for a photo with young SALGJA and St Regs member Charlotte Travers just outside the famous Jigger Inn.

All the best to the Pros, big names, and Hollywood stars who make this such a special event.

Hopefully next year its an even bigger event, and more fun, with a European Team Victory at the  Ryder Cup across at Gleneagles  the week before. That will be one heck of a party week if that happens. WagsTours is working hard to help the visiting golf fans, and their families find the perfect blend of golf, accommodation and activities around that month next year, when Scotland and St Andrews will literally be the golfing mecca! So avoid the rush and get in touch as soon as possible with Kate and her team.
